Default Tach wiring question for MSD to SPF

Okay, I know this has been covered before but I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. I recently junked the factory FoMoCo box and installed a MSD-6al in my SPF (#1114) to get the rev limiter chips. I hooked everything up and it works great, but I can't seem to figure out how to hook up the tach... Not having a tach is painful so I am hoping someone can walk me through the procedure.

Thanks,
Mel

Thumbs up Tach connection

On my car (#1938) I connected the white wire from the MSD box to the black/green wire that came from the Duraspark Ignition module under the dash behind the glove box. I mounted my MSD box under the dash where the module was. Hope this helps.

Jim gave you the easy way if you saved and know which lead from the old unit ran the tach. Otherwise you will need to run your MSD lead through the firewall and attach it to the tach. I don't know how difficult it may be to get to the back of your tach while it is in the dash. Also if the tach should not read correctly you may need to get the small converter unit that some people have to use with a MSD unit. But not all have to so I am not really sure why some do and some don't . Possibly the brand of tach.
