Default "SwissTrax" tile "Group Buy"- 30% off !

Hello everyone,
My name is Kevin. As a lot of you know, I've been creating "Group Buys" here on CC for all of us to get some great products at a great price.

It's coming time to finish my garage. (finally) ! I bought some used kitchen cabinets and the walls will be painted. The next step is flooring. I've seen several epoxy painted from friends, family member, and business's and I'm not impressed and I will not waste my time and money. There is so much cleaning and prep work to establish before painting, it not for me, and I'm a auto body man knowing what it takes for a good foundation to have a good paint job and long lasting. We could talk for many hours, debating paint vs tile but, that's not what this post is about so please, let's stick to the purpose of this post and the SwissTrax Flooring Tile.

I want to mention how excited I am, about the "SwissTrax" tile flooring system, since I don't like the idea of epoxy paint for my floor. To me, it's a no brainier.

As a note, I'm not a employee of the company, I just like finding and sharing great deals for great products, for us gear heads.

I'm very happy to be involved with SwissTrax and our "Group Buy" with buying in bulk. This means lower cost for all of us.

Ok, here's the exciting part.

I had a great conversation with SwissTrax and we discussed the matter of how a "Group Buy" could be good for us as well as them. We agreed on a price and they are willing to give us 30% off retail !

$4.95/SF any tile any color, recycled poly propylene product line $3.95/SF; your price $3.49/SF any tile any color and $2.79/SF recycled…edges retail $3/each for 15 ¾” tile and $2/each 13” tile; your price $2/each 15 ¾” and each 13” edge.

My sales woman (great gal) says the recycled tiles are from the end of a batch and the color may not be exactly the same. Just like buying wall paper from a different batch or as I know being a auto body man, paint is the same way. If a slight color difference would not matter to you, you'll even get a better price. There is nothing wrong with the tile, other than this little color variance.

You can even order custom logo's. They are laser cut and laid in the tile. They have a "COBRA" logo and I will definitely order one. The price is cheap but, I don't recall what it is but will find out Monday. I also asked if lettering, like your name, business, car type or brand, ect... is something we can do and she will check into it. I replied that if we could come up with one "font", that would be cheaper for all of us and the company. I will be very happy if I/we could get, "427 SHELBY COBRA", or the like.

Here are some facts, and more are on their site-

12 year limited warranty

Constructed of UV stabilized polypropylene copolymer

Resistance to:

Alkalis - Excellent

Oil, Gas & other Auto Fluids - Excellent

Acids / Solvents - Good

Tile Weight: 17.5 ounces

Non-slip surface

Temperature Tolerances: -22F + 248F

Compressive Strength: 5120 p.s.i.

Not affected by moisture or chemicals

Not affected by existing or future concrete cracking

Provides excellent slip resistance when wet

SwissTrax come many colors and you can even have custom colors made for you as well. (there are some restrictions in the recycled tiles)

They're easy to install, relatively easy to clean and look fantastic. And, with a compression strength of 5,120 p.s.i., they won't be damaged by floor jacks, jack stands or dropped tools.

If it's endorsed by such names as Shelby and Hendrick Motorsports, it's good enough for me.

This is how the buy will work-

Carefully read the vast of information on the site.

Have fun with the "Floor Designer", pick out your favorite tile type, pattern, colors, and final design.

Get a hold of me via private message or email and I will give you my sales woman direct number, for you to order your SwissTrax.

It's that simple. Please ask any questions you want, if I don't have the answer, she will contact you.

SwissTrax website- http://www.swisstrax.com/

PM me for my phone number if needed.

The only thing I ask is, please keep this post about SwissTrax and not a debate about paint or other tile company's. That issue has been addressed many times here and on other sites. Please do a search on club cobra or on the Internet for other products.

Thank you very much, and lets get started.
Kevin

Default The Real RaceDeck -

I was not going to chime in but there are a few statements that I must comment on. I usually never bash a competitor or talk negatively about them, but we are mention by name here.

Many of you know us well I have been a long time CC member and an owner of various replicas which now includes a Kirkham. I have been a member for many years and have always given CC members a discount on RaceDeck. Also, we do not have an inflated retail prices and then fool the customers into thinking they are getting a discount.

My comments on FUNFR claims ( no offense to FUNFR but I have seen this exact same language used in many swisstrax sales pitches )-

It's just like "Race Deck" that has been in business for many years - It is absolutely not like RaceDeck in any way other than they are square - Our understructure allows air & liquids to flow, handles more weight, and is made from superior materials - Secondly, ST has only been in business a few years.

- IF you pay this much, I have some land in Florida to sell you. We only sell quality products at the best price, never seconds or rejects.

Compressive Strength: 5120 p.s.i. Really- this is a great one - High compression highway concrete does not even have a psi rating this high.

If it's endorsed by such names as Shelby and Hendrick Motorsports, it's good enough for me. True, We did not pay Carol to use his logo..we are one of the few

For comparisons and facts on RaceDeck Vs. see http://www.racedeck.com/epoxy.html

The Bottom line - We have always offered CC members a great discount and we are factory direct. no need to create a group buy. We will beat any competitors price on similiar product and always have. This excludes cheap import tiles.

Update- I want to include this letter, stating more details about the quality of the "Recycled Line" of tiles. This is so great, that SwissTrax is helping with the green environment, we are all concerned about.

From SwissTrax

"Regarding the “recycled” line…for clarification purposes, the recycled is not seconds (clearance) in any way. It is all new product but made 100% of recycled PP plastic (trashcans, etc.). I have attached information on the recycled tile as well as an outline of the difference between the “pure” polypropylene tile and the recycled tile for your review.

I just don’t want anyone to think they are seconds or have any defects"

Here's even a better deal. FREE SHIPPING and EDGING with 1,000 sq.ft or more !

Also, thank you for everyone that sent me a PM for your order. I'll get back to you to finalize your purchase.

Kev

I feel the need to chime in. Both products are great and I can also show the swiss trax comparision sheet to Racedeck in which they have some superior qualities. No need to continue to rag on a comptetitor just because someone likes it and wants to purchase it. Swiss Trax also has channels underneath to allow water and air to pass. I just finished having Swiss Trax in my garage and love it. I have hosed out the garage a few times to get sand and dirt out and it flows very well under the tiles. It is like any other product or company in the market. You better be able to stand on your own 2 feet not try to make a living on "how you are better than the other guy"

Obviously companies like Barrett Jackson and Russo and Steele wouldn't use it for all of thier flooring if it wasn't a good product. Both companies make an excellent product and their is no need to bash on the other guys products if yours is good enough. I went with it because of the quality of the people representing them (and their helpfulness)during BJ in Scottsdale as well as being able to put the Cobra logo on the floor

Yes both Race Deck and Swiss Trax offer the ability to pull one out if you need to clean up something like oil that can't be hosed off or if a tile breaks or cracks it can be replaced. I went ahead and got the logo done in 4 tiles so it was bigger but it is more money. The logo tiles run $75/tile or $300 for one like mine done in a 3' x 3' 4 tile setup. The patterns and color choices in design are endless.

Short story-

I'm concerned about spinning the wheels on the flooring. I have a two post car lift and I have my Cobra low enough, that I drive up on low profile 3" high ramps to clear the side pipes. The first time I released the clutch a little too much and heard a noise. Turned the engine off and looked around my garage for the two rear ramps but could not find them. Looked down the driveway, and they were, past the sidewalk ! I don't want to do the same with the ENTIRE FLOOR, shooting off like a rocket, and ending up over the next block !
