Question Weight of an SPF Cobra?

Yesterday I was passing by a truck stop and figured for five bucks why not put the ol snake on the scale. With a half a tank of fuel, my Superformance came in at 2,600 pounds. Does that seem accurate to you guys? I'm running a Windsor with an aluminum manifold and a Tremec 5 speed. I thought it would be a little bit lighter.

Bob

Thumbs up

We weighed about 40 SPF's at an event this spring in Hastings, NE. Your weight is right in the mix for others similarly equipped.

Hmm. The SPF owner's manual (2nd ed.) says it should come in at 2485-lb for a 351-equipped car, but doesn't specify whether that's dry or wet. A gallon of gasoline weighs about 6-lb, which totals roughly 60-lb for a half tank.

My car is similarly equipped, but I haven't had it on the scale yet. A buddy of mine runs a shop, so maybe I'll see if I can get 'er weighed too.

I weighed mine it was 2620. Thats with a 427 shelby block not to bad if a 351 weighs 2600. I probaly could have got it down to 2600 bye unloading the trunk.
