I used Aeroquip teflon lined SS braided hose. It's impervious to everything and will last forever. I ran two -8 hoses from the tank to the engine, one supply and one return (I'm using a by-pass regulator to feed the carb).

There is a very good artice in the Jan. 2012 issue of Hot Rod that covers fuel hoses for today's gas.
