BTW, custom built Hot Rod series carburetor, 650cfm, choke, mechanical secondaries. $450 including shipping to you. New carb is ordered from Q/F, disassembled, then reassembled with correct configuration for your engine.

They have a tumble polished finish, but probably not what you're thinking of. Air cleaner covers it anyway.

I've seen QF and know guys that love them. They seem like a very good carb. I went with PRO-Systems, Patrick James will build you one for your particular engine with a good price to boot. You can call him for any tech service also. I went from a BG 650VS to a 780MS. Like night and day. Car idled clean and came in crisp and quick.

I'm pleased with QF also. Ditched the Holley Street Avenger on my Roush 427SR and replaced it with a QF SS750 mechanical. Great adjustability with removable jets and air bleeds. Easy to dial in if you have an A/F meter.

A second vote for Pro Systems--works great; Patrick will answer your questions and responds well to e-mails.
