Default Ford Racing new 460 SMALL block

I just saw on the FFR forum that Ford Racing now has a long block crate motor that is 460 CI based on the newer Boss 351 blocks. Anyone have any thoughts on Ford Racing producing a 460W? Will it be a good motor for the price?

I think these are the P/N

460 CUBIC INCHES 575 HP CRATE ENGINE FRONT SUMP
M-6007-Z460FFT

460 CUBIC INCHES 575 HP CRATE ENGINE FRONT/REAR SUMP
M-6007-Z460FRT

I've gained a lot of customers over the years because of Ford Racing and Roush.

That's exactly what I thought I might here. Seems like the last couple years I have been seeing a lot of issues with them on CC.

I'd be happy to give you a quote for a 460 small block, based on a Dart block, which in my opinion is a stronger foundation. My engines come complete, ready to drop in. Most FRPP "crate engines" require intakes, carbs, water necks, plug wires, plugs, alternators, pulleys, you name it.

You get what you pay for. The Ford Racing stuff is not dyno tested and tuned. We have heard quit a few horror stories about some of their stuff. We have been doing a 4.125 to 4.165 bore SB Ford with the 4.250 stroke for a while. We are putting a complete engine quote on our website for a 460C.I. small block Ford Windsor. We have always offered it as an option but now we are going to list a complete package ready to go.
The 460C.I. Windsor we will do will make about 600ft/lbs of torque and a little over 600HP. There are always options but this is with a hydraulic roller and run on premium pump gas for a very strong street/strip engine. They will run in the 12,500.00 range depending on a few options. I will have the guys list one of them on here Monday.
We have found that by the time you add all the things you need to the Ford Racing engine and the dyno time that we are pretty close on price. We do feel that we give you a better and more powerful engine for the money. Just give us a call we will be glad to help.
Thanks, Keith Craft
