Why couldn't this engine run on 93? Only 11.5:1 and enough camshaft to bleed off some cylinder pressure and it shouldn't be a big deal.

Re: idle rpm, it's pretty easy to pull down the rpm on the clutch before shutting down. I do it in my FE Cobra without even thinking about it anymore.

For the torque to be 1.5 x the displacement, you have to be near 100% VE. To get near 100% VE north of 5K RPM, you have to be doing a lot of things right. This is not your every day run of the mil engine!

During an internet search I found my engine in this forum. And no, it won't fit under the hood of my Pike's Peak car as well. Working through issues with car, currently. Will give more updates in the future.

That is some insane power from a 438. I wonder what it would make if you bumped the compression down half a point and used a hydraulic roller with some modified lifters to let it pull to 7000. Threads like this keep my hopes alive for my small block

Am I reading that correctly, the cam has gross lift of .750? Would love to see more on that.
