Solid Lifter Lash Spec Needed

After searching around here I learned a lot but not what I was looking for!

I have a solid lifter 302 with iron block and heads. The cam is unknown as the receipt only shows it as a "blank" for a custom grind. I have seen recommendations of .020-.025" hot and even .022" specifically. Can the experts confirm this?

The engine has Weber induction in case that factors into your opinion at all...not sure why it would.
