Canton oil plug diameter

I want to install a rubber O-ring on my 71/2 qt Canton oil pan on my Windsor. Anyone know the diameter of the drain plug bolt? Since I've got to pull it, install the o ring and reinstall the plug while losing the least amount of oil, I don't have much time for experimentation. It seems like something in the area of 1/2". Anybody?

After a good hard ride.....oil pressure is over 50, temp is below 190, she idles and no new dents. LIFE IS GOOD!
