Default Looking for hard stroker numbers

As part of my learning process prior to pulling the trigger on a replica, I'd like to see some real output numbers on a good breathing (AFR 225 or ? heads) 418-427 Windsor. At the moment, this looks like it will be my engine of choice, but while I've seen some impressive claims on various engine builders' websites, I believe in dyno sheets.

Default 427W Stroker Dyno Sheet

Here are the figures from my engine at the dyno at Performance Engineering last year.

If you take a look in my gallery, you will see a dyno sheet on my engine that I got from KIETH CRAFT. It has AFR225 heads with a decent hydraulic roller cam. It is also a pump gas motor. It was dynoed and completed in January.

Very nice numbers! That motor comes close to the power I'm making with the 427 LS6 in the 'Vette. Who manufactures the aluminum block for the Windsor?

My particular application was the Dart aluminum block with the 4.125 bore size. That coupled with the 4.00 stroke crank gives a little more winding capabilities. Either way this motor is a beast, but it is fun, fairly easy to drive, you want horsepower itis there. Kieth really did a nice job on this motor, I am very happy with it.

marco,
i have a 351/427 stroker,it has out of the box vic jrs on it,2 weeks ago on the dyno i made 426 rwhp and 422 ftlb of torque.
this is a pump gas motor(93 octane),it is a blast to drive. this winter the heads are coming off to be cnc ported and i'm going to build some better primary headers, right now i'm flat outta cylinder head flow,if you decide to go with a stroker put a really good set of heads on it because you need all the airflow you can get. remember you are basically dealing with a big block with 427 cubic inches......

Default 427 Stroker

Hi Marcos:

The block on my engine is a Dart, 4.125 cylinder bore, 4.0 stroke, 10.25 to 1 comp ratio. Comp Cam and Victor Edelbrock manifold, Demon 850 and AFR heads. Hope this helps.

Juan
