Smile 351C valve seals

OK, I just pulled my heads off my 71 351C and found most of my valve seals in pieces! Stuck in the oil return holes, in the oil pan etc.

Anyone recomend a better seal, something better than the umbrella OEM type?

I dont drive the car often, probably only 2K miles on the heads, rebuilt in 1988, yes I know, old age on the seals and not driving "enough" is harder on the seals than anything.

Just looking for the "best" replacement.

thanks!

Jon

Cat:

Go to this forum (Link attached) and ask your question. The other forum is ALL 351C diehards and a lot of experts in Clevelands. They're quite helpful.

PC type seals. Of course you will have to pull the heads and have the heads machined to use them but with little bits of old seals floating around a good cleaning out is probably in order.
