Checked out your thread to FMS. Was interesting to note that FMS has changed to a "forged" piston vs the original "Hypereutectic" ones in the 392. Ya think my two blown engines along with those of many others resulted in the change??
I called their tech support and was told my engine was running too lean--go figure. Have rebuilt using forged pistons (& crank) and moved up to 427.
Much harder to keep straight on the road!!
The 351/427 can't last any shorter than the FMS's 392!!! Total of 15,000 on three engines. Do use a rev limiter now after the 1st "blow."
My builder tells me I sould be "bullet-proof" now.--we'll see.
