Hyde,
That is beautiful. What are you going to run for air filters?

CoupedUp, I always thought the Ferrari perspex scoop over the six webers was way cool. Total Italian flamboyance!

Filters? I have been told that they really mess with air flow & that I shouldn't really need them. A couple guys run them around here this way but to be honest it does make me a bit nervous...

I'm curious because I have a 48 IDA setup which will go on my motor. I was told by Inglese that the K&N booties can actually improve torque outout. These are not the snap-on plastic type, but a soft slip-on filter.
The look of the open weber stacks is sheer beauty but the idea of running without filters makes me nervous too.

Default Air filters

Very nice setup.

I have the Imagine setup for EFI and have the same dilemma. On the dyno there is about 24RWHP difference with the stacks on vs the filters. So of course I would love to run the stacks all the time, and they just look right!

Finding a good (read - good looking) solution seems to be a common problem. I am sure some entrepreneurial craftsman out there can come up with something?

If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them, as the sound of a few small stones heading south into those stacks is a big concern.

Cameron

Brett mentioned on another thread that someone had used domed tea strainers & affixed them with grommets. so I ordered some of these from cooks nook in 3" diameter. I will attempt to fit them when they show up. I'm curious!

Hey Hyde,

It would be great to see your FIA at the Cobra Bash in May. Been watching your build and really like what you've done. Hope you can make it!

Talk soon, John

We'll see but not sure how likely it is. Have so many projects brewing right now daylight is pretty dim, if ya know what I mean. Thanks, for the compliment!
