Can I use the Lakewood 15202 bellhousing

with any 302 / 5.0 L ? I'm thinking of getting a new 342 cu. in. Ford Racing short block or a 1980s - 90s seasoned 5.0 L 331 short block with a TKO 600 tranny. Lakewood doesn't answer the phone..

I have a Lakewood. In hindsight, I would have gone with the standard aluminum bellhousing and a custom kevlar blanket from Gordon Levy. It is SFI certified and much lighter. It also does not need to be dialed in like the Lakewood.

Short of that, I think I would suggest the McLoed, as it is supposedly stamped to a tighter specification.

Levy Racing is having custom balistic blankets made to fit the T5 or Temec bell housings.

I was all excited for a minute...Looks like they don't make them for early bellhousings???

The early bell housing is close enough to the same size as the late model bell housings. It is adjustable to fit.
