				 Leaking 351.. Looking for ideas
So I have this 1969 351 Windsor I rebuilt last year. The car had never been driven until this week.. Fired up plenty, never dripped a drop. Now that it's actually being driven around it likes to spew small amounts of oil on my garage floor. It is coming from the front of the engine. I can see it coming off of the front of the oil pan at the bottom of the pan but I can't seem to locate the source at all. Could it be the dipstick, timing cover seal, oil pan gasket?? all of the above..? If I start the car and let it idle it doesn't leak.. It's only when it is driven. Looking for ideas on ways to track it down.. Dye with a blacklight ?? |
