Dean it's funnny that you should mention this. Having just installed Webers and increasing the initial timing from 12 to 16 degrees the temprature emitted by the engine and pipes seemed warmer than with the Holley. I had it idling for several minutes and the temp gauge didn't indicate more heat. Maybe just leaning over the engine made it seem hotter (???) As a general rule more timing will increase temprature.
