Default Clutch for GForce T5

Hey everybody and Happy Thanksgiving.

I ordered a GForce T5. It has 26 splines instead of the normal 10. What are you guys who have this transmission using for a clutch? RAM, McLeod, etc. Which model? Any preferences? I've read up on the hydraulic throwout vs slave cylinder issue, but if anyone wants to comment on that fire away.

Hays 40-121 Street/strip makes a pretty good clutch in a 26 spline and the Hays long style pressure plate or Borg and Beck pressure plate although I don't think you could go wrong with either of the two choices you posted.

I will be running a Hays 11" 40-221 with Hays long style p/p with my G-Force behind an FE. Was planning on going with the hydraulic t/o, but after reading all of the issues, will probably switch to a slave setup. Wish I was far enough along to give you a review on how it works...

Default Centerforce disk

I am using FMS-M-7550-T302 10.5" disk. It is a Ford Motorsport part made by Centerforce. It is 26 spline X 1 1/8 diameter shaft for a Tremec TKO transmission. It has different materials on each side of the disk; one side is organic and the flywheel side contains "wedges" of material impregnated with copper? metal. I used this disk because my car already had a good Centerforce PP when I swapped my transmission. I had this same disk in a 10 spline for my old 3550 and needed to convert to a 26 spline disk for the new TKO600.

I second disk choice was a RAM 309M. A friend of mine, with a Cobra, uses this disk with a FMS PP.

Both disks work very well (smooth engagement) for the street with spirited driving on occasion.
