I called Lakewood Bellhousing today.. One of their techs said it sounded like I had the wrong starter. He said I probably have a starter for an automatic transmission! After work I purchased a new starter for a manual tranny and installed it. I turned the key and it turned the engine immediately! I'll try to fire the engine tomorrow night..
