If your looking for 340hp or so for a street driver, it's real easy and inexpensive to do with a 351-W.....
Mild cam in the 480 to 490 lift range, dual plane alum. intake and a holley 600/650 double pumper for starters.... stock crank/rods, flat top pistons and inexpensive stock alum heads from most any manufacter will get you an honest 350hp, with a 800 rpm idle and be a ton of fun to drive as well as give you many miles of trouble free driving..........
no need to stroke it if all you need is 340 hp......put that extra money on the car!!!!!!
oh,and in a light weight car like a Cobra, IT WILL haul a$$.....
