Default thermostat housing

I have an Edelbrock Air gap manifold on my 351w. It has the bypass port. I need to get a thermostat housing. First off not certain where the bypass is intended to go. Second some of the housings dont have the by-pass nipple. Any advise is appreciated. thanks

Get a stock replacement type, with the bypass port. It will work better on a street car with a thermostat. The bypass port connects to one of the water pump ports.

The housing for a 5.0 Mustang has the outlet facing directly upwards where the housing used on 60's-70's Mustang has it angled at about 45 degrees towards the front. That allows for some varience in hose selection, since most are made from a portion of 2 different hoses and a 1 1/2" diameter metal tube.
