Default Good painter in San Diego area?

(Virgin post!) I finally picked up a lovely Contemporary Classics and I'm thinking about repainting it from the current gold to black with white stripes. I'm not much of a DIY person, are there any painters you all would recommend down here in San Diego?

Not in San Diego but you might want to contact Jeff Miller in Temecula. He has probably painted over 100 Cobras.

I've seen several he has painted and they all look fabulous.

Indy,

Lots of great painters in San Diego. You might try Miguel at Autoworks International in El Cajon. Not cheap, not fast, but very good. He did my Backdraft and has worked on $100K plus show cars. Also, Ruly at The Syndicate in Kearny Mesa is a very good painter.

I know the car (red interior, right?) and it is very straight, so any quality shop can do a nice paint job. Knowing how to do the stripes is a issue, but easily learned.

You could also try Phil Thearles Autowerks in Santee. A high end production shop that does great work. Also, AJ USA has a very fine shop and painter as well. I am not sure what area of San Diego you are from, but there are good quality shops in most areas. Let me know where you live and I can recommend more places.

That being said, Jeff Miller in Temecula is a great painter. He seems to do a lot of Factory Fives, but I believe has painted many others.

Have fun with your new car and be sure to bring it to the 4th of July parade in Scripps Ranch.
