I'm s _ l _ o _ w _ l _ y working on a McLaren M6GT replica (Manta Montage).

Next on my list will probably be something from Race Car Replicas. GT40, T70mk3b, P3, 917 ... all of them look *very* sweet!

I considered a Beck Lister (similar to the Lister Corvette or Lister Jaguar you see at vintage races). No response from Beck. I think the car was discontinued.

I'm thinking my next kit will be one of the Ultima GTRs. Love how they look and assembly looks pretty straight forward-

Porsche 550 Spyder replica or the new RCR 917. That's what I would build.

That Ultima GTR is real nice. The basic kit is something like $29k. Not too shabby. Looks like they also offer a complete roller for $89k. Just drop in engine and tranny. There is an add-on options section for the $29k kit that I did not add up, but can it really add up to the difference between the two? How much is the factory adding in for the extra labor?

Not sure it classifies as a kit, but I would like my next 'project' to be an Eleanor GT 500.

I think the Ultima adds up to about $65K for the after you add the options. Still need transaxle and engine setup. Not a good time to buy from UK with the horrible exchange rates. Two years ago I think it was only about $40K with options.

I'm with Larry,
Porsche 550 Spyder replica!
There is a company in CA that makes these with a nicely done tubular frame and original looks. They are light and I think will even allow installation of a flat six? They scoot nicely while still being a vintage roadster.

My Dad just purchased a '32 Ford kit, it should arrive next week. We just finished my Cobra in Aug, so I'm looking forward to helping him on the Ford. If I could buy something else right now, I would like this... http://www.tbuckets.com/ The King T

I think Beck retired and sold rights to his line of cars. This may be where they ended up: http://www.listercars.com/

The ultima is cool, one of our clubs members built one, really is a street legal race car. Has trouble cruising in hot weather, car likes the open road. If different is on your mind, take a look at this. This car caught my eye when it was just clay. I kept trying to find it then poof there it was wining some award. Just shoehorn some serious power in it and go. Patrick

I would build a Lola T70 Mrk IIIB for sure. I've Already done a couple Cobra's and I am working on a GT40, but for sure my next build will be a Lola. I've always loved the way they look. Just have to decide if I will do one in house or buy one.

Ditto the Thunder Ranch cars. Awesome detail and a Porsche 904 replica coming soon. Possibly my all time favorite car. At least in the top 3!

Well Beck is kind of semi-retired, he just finished building a Lister for a friend of mine who lives close to him in GA. He had originally hooked up with Avanti and was building the Lister with them for a couple of years until they parted ways and they still build it (www.avantimotors.com look under SVO). My friend told me recently that Beck had sold his tooling (jigs and molds) to another company BSC Cars (http://www.boulderspeedster.com/index.htm) but it does not look like they are quite ready to sell them yet.

Oh, and listercars.com (aka. musclemotorsports) uses the Avanti kits and resells them or will build them for you.

Also heard from the same guy that Beck's Porsche 904 was going to be built by Superformance and I even saw photos of his prototype being shipped off to them. That was over a year ago and I have not heard of any progress.

The P4 is really cool. Another on my list.
The thing I don't like about Becks Lister and 550 is they aren't very accurate in shape and profile. Same thing that bugs me about some Cobra replicas.
To each his own I guess.
