Drivers door latch

When the car is out on the sun(driving or parked) the drivers door latch gets stuck. Cant open doors unless I really give it a good jab to the door with the palm of my hand. Any ideas? Only happens when in sun/hot.

Door skin and frame expanding in length from the heat and jamming the latch? Might try to back the striker off just slightly and see if that helps. Just a 32nd or 16th is plenty. If it's moved back too far it won't latch properly.
