Default Cooper Cobra GT vs Mickey Thompson S/T

Which do you prefer and why? Not interested in any other tire choices for this thread and please disqualify yourself if you own the Coopers and you were drawn to them because they are called Cobra.

Sorry, I forgot I was in the Superformance forum and of course this is meant for everyone (I got chastised once for that). :-)

I'll answer my own question since no one else will. :-)

I spoke to Mickey Thompson and these two tires are basically the same tire and they are both made at the same plant. So flip a coin.

The only real difference is that the Mickey Ts have a slightly more aggressive tread pattern. Otherwise the two tires are identical.

I chose the Coopers over the Mickey Ts mainly because they're more readily available/better distributed here in Ottawa.

We have both available - the Coopers were 20% less expensive than the MTs. They are essentially the same tire!

I've had both and think they perform about the same... I prefer the look of the MT's because the sidewall reminds me of the old pie-crust shape the originals ran back in the day.

I have the Coopers and am happy with them. Have not had any complaints so far.

I have had the MT S/T's for about 2k miles & am pleased with their overall performance so far. I also have used the MT S/R's and much perfer the S/T's for overall street performance & original style/looks.

Ditto, however, I am considering the MT's after these are worn.

I ended up going with the M/Ts and got the Hunter Roadforce balancing on all 4 wheels. It also cured my steering wheel shake (my Goodyear's were out of round) so quite pleased about that.
