Default Heater core

Has anyone had a problem with the heater core in their time SPF? The car that I bought early this year has a leaking core and SPF has washed their hands of the issue saying this is an old design and there is not any stock of this part.
I have owned the car for 7 months and it has been in the shop for 5 of the 7. At this point I am totally disgusted and regret that I ever took the plunge. It has been one step forward and 2 back the entire time.

What is the chassis number? There are some used parts from wrecks available as well as from some cars converted to full time track monsters.

Have you had the core to a competent radiator shop to look at repairing it?

It is true that some early car parts are no longer serviced........this is a common practice in the auto industry. Go to Ford and try to purchase pre bent lines for a vehicle five years old!

Dang, if a heater is going to push you over the edge.... Do SPF cars not just use Maradyne boxes like a lot of the other makes? You can order them pretty easily.

Vintage air offers an extensive line of heaters much better than the original.
