"Ok, that did sound like an ad. Sorry, honestly just wanted to pass on the info."

Good thing that didn't sound like an ad because EVERYTHING I've gotten from him that he fabbed is crap. That is IF you even get it after paying for it.

Ouch! Let me just say that I like to think I don't make crap. Several folks here have used the base plate and are completely happy with it. I only came up with it out of necessity and offered it up to other CC members who might see a benefit. Quite a big chip on that shoulder there my friend! That's entirely your issue and not mine!

This thread is about turkey pans. Just sayin'....

Bernica, sorry if you read that YOUR product is crap. I certainly apologize for the misunderstanding. It's the OTHER guy you mentioned that I meant to say makes CRAP. EVERYTHING I ever ordered that he made was junk. That's if I even got it. See, If somebody says what a great product(s) he sells are great , then I think I have the right to dispute that.

Just curious if anyone has any data/tests on airflow into the hood scoop . Reason for asking is I`ve been told by several people who have experience in that area that when you get above a certain speed that the air flow over the hood and the high pressure area in front of the windshield causes the air to stop flowing into the scoop .
Too cold here for me to run my own test with strings on the hood yet , but maybe someone else has ???
Yes , they look cool ... and I also have one in the garage , but hesitate to put it on just yet as I finally got my carb sorted out with its existing air flow system .
I don`t disagree with what Gaz64 or Mastertouch 327 say about airflow through a certain size opening , but would those figures still be valid on a hood scoop actually on a car with the windshield ... don`t know , just asking .

I believe that there are many post about this subject and you might want to do a search. Lots of folks have done the "yarn testing" etc. As I recall, some folks actually found better air flow with a reverse or backwards scoop.
