Default Clear Bra

There's a new conversation over on the All Cobra Talk forum on clear bra protection and it started some questions.
How many of you SPF guys have a clear bra installed and if possible could you give a sense of how much coverage do you have and where the pattern was sourced if known.

Hi Tim,

I have Clear Film on my Coupe and other cars. Some people have gone to extremes with covering the entire front end to avoid chips and the "edge".

I have not.

On my coupe it covers about 24" from the nose.

Must chips happen straight-on so you want the surface covered up to where it becomes more flat

On a 427 SC I would do up to (just prior to) the hood opening.

Unsure if there are forms for our cars but any good installer can custom fit with no problems.

Jeff

On my Mk. III Cobra 427 S/C I went with Speedshield in the Dallas area. They actually have a video on their website doing a black Superformance Mk. III Cobra 427 S/C to the windshield and doors. Trey Pappas does amazing work. They do most of the exotics of the DFW area. There were multiple options to cover additional areas of the car, even the entire car if you wanted. I chose the most popular; the front nose to the front of hood and the front of the rear fenders. The 3M material is really great and looks great still. I highly recommend covering these areas minimum. Don't assume just anyone can do this, because there are a lot of curves on the Cobra. Try to find someone that has experience with this car.
