Fire extinguisher system, additional safety pin

After my mishap with the overflowing carb, I decided to install an FIA-approved fire-extinguisher system in the engine bay.

I want to install the pull lever on the dashboard, but would like to add an additional safety pin to it, so no one can pull the lever by mishap.

I read a post some time back where someone did the same thing, but of course I forgot to save it.

I can't simply drill the lever to insert a pin, because the diameter is too small (0.2 inches).

Does anyone have an idea?
