Fire extinguisher system, additional safety pin

If you are referring to a trunk mounted tank with nozzles piped to the engine compartment, the manual actuator that is located on the dash already has a safety pin. The tank also has a 2nd pin but it is removed after the cable linkage is installed. I can send you photos of my install if you like. The manufacturer is Safecraft, they have a large selection.

yes, that's the type of system I installed.

Please send me some photos. But the actuator on mine (and on all the others I looked at) has no safety. As with yours, there is a safety pin on the handle of the extinguisher. But since I mounted the tank in the engine bay, I 'll have to remove it once the installation is done. Otherwise I can just as well leave the whole system in the garage at home
