Mklll hood hinge

Making plans to remove the hood to install the engine. Are the hood hinges spring loaded? I have not taken a detailed look yet. Thinking about getting into the engine compartment and removing the hood bolts with the hood closed. Then hopefully just lift off the hood. I don’t want the hinges springing up as we take the hood away.
