I read this on Tirerack: "Half mileage for rear if different size than front" (I'm researching staggered tires for my wife's SUV - looking at PS4-SUV from Michelin)
They must think us guys with wider rear tires like to smoke them. Where do they get these crazy ideas from?!
A tangent, but speaking of SUVs and Michelins, I recently put new Michelin CrossClimates on my Grand Cherokee - very happy with them. (all 4 the same size, though)
