Which Shifter lever position? Mid or Rear?

David is getting a MK III (427 style) car. Superformance supplies the Galaxie type shifter which works fine. You learn very quickly that shifts are "up and down" rather than "back and forth" as in a 289. You can of course use the 289-type shifter and will the use the forward or mid mount.

Dont forget the little curly reverse lockout .... 😊

That is if you do not plan on racing the car. I removed mine after my arm restraint (you have to wear them in an open car to keep your arms from flying outside of the car in a rollover) got caught on the reverse lockout and wrapped around the shifter

Plus, the "lockout" bar is cosmetic. The Tremecs do not use it.
