Turn Signal Indicator - Paint Chipping

My paint has worn/chipped off my turn signal indicator...

I see Finish Line has them for $90, seems to be a good price.

Is this thing worth repainting? I'm not sure it could be made durable. Or I can just buy a new one to be safe. It looks like the identical part for a 1966-67 VW Beetle. Can anyone confirm that?
