Default Turn Signal Indicator - Paint Chipping
My paint has worn/chipped off my turn signal indicator...

I see Finish Line has them for $90, seems to be a good price.

Is this thing worth repainting? I'm not sure it could be made durable. Or I can just buy a new one to be safe. It looks like the identical part for a 1966-67 VW Beetle. Can anyone confirm that?

Yes it is from a 66-67 VW and the part number is HLS200.663. Either the paint chips or the micro switch for the hi beams goes. The worst part of replacing is the wiring and no room to work with the shoe connectors.

You could remove it, sand it carefully and use an epoxy based baint? THey are on EBAY consistantly as a OEM VW part but the majority seem to be an OEM cream color to start with. You might call a vintage VW parts source as an alternative. The OEM German ones are the best if you can find one.

What the difficulty level of replacing it? I don't want to dive into it if it's a PITA. I can live with some chips.
