My alarm system
The alarm on the car has been acting up lately and I am thinking of getting rid of the whole thing. I have changed the batteries on the remote and the car still wont crank over. I am not good with electrical issues and I am wondering if there is an easy way to bypass the alarm so I can be sure that it actually IS the alarm acting up and not something else not allowing the car to start/crank over.
Just for info, I cleaned the underside of the car with Green cleaner and a hose just before the issue cropped up.
The electrical system seems to work; lights, horn, fuel pump. The battery is fully charged and on a trickle charger. When I turn the key nothing happens...not even a weak click. Which is very similar to what happens when the alarm is active.
Any thoughts?
