Floor mats are merely for covering the wear spots in the carpet while the car is parked. Obviously, they need to be removed before take-off.
If your worried about the wear, glue a rubber pad down to the carpet (or better yet screw down a piece of aluminum plate). Then use the mat to cover the eye sore when parked. 
Too much headache to just protect two square feet of carpet. |
