Broken fan blade
Somehow I have managed to break two of the blades off of one of my cooling fans. Not sure how.
Anyway I called one of the Superformance dealer and they said I had to buy the whole unit. Anyone been able to just buy the fan itself without the motor?? Thanks in advance

Looking at the full parts list and Hillbank's website, it looks like you have to buy the whole assembly. You might want to take it apart and see if there are are any serviceable parts that could be purchased elsewhere.

Dennis Olthoff did have just the fan. Everywhere else I call had the whole assembly. Thanks for the advise

Dennis or Doug have everything.......
Remember to mark the wiring on the fans when you remove the assembly.
Consult your wiring diagram and remember both fans PULL air into the engine area...

I am not 100% sure but...I was running the car at the track and did spin off that day into some gravel. A couple of weeks later I noticed the car was running hotter than normal. Changed out the coolant, thermostat etc. Drove the car again and found it getting hot. When I got the car home and stopped the fans came on but I noticed only one fan was working. Blown fuse, problem solved.
Next time I drove the car the fans came on while driving and the car has a very bizzar feel to it. After looking around a bit, I saw the broken fan. The fan being out of balance and was sending a vibration through the whole car. Anyway, the gravel trap is all I can think of for what must have broken the fan.
Racetracks can be tough on a car but a Cobra needs to stretch its legs.

Must have bounced some stones into the engine compartment and up into the fan shroud...Maybe a loose oil filter hose hit it? Either way, a small target to hit...

I think the Fan blades themselves are a VW- Audi part.
I just had mine apart too as I cleaned and painted the motors. I swear they are the VW jetta blades from about 1988, but I cant be sure. I would take the blade to a VW-audi specialist in town and you will probably hit paydirt.
