Default Ohm- Sweet Ohm -- Fuel Sender ratings -

I thought this was ( would be ) a good post, as this just came up. I will continue to update as I have more info.

Fuel Sender Ranges:

* 0 Ohm Empty / 90 Ohm Full - For most GM vehicles 1965 to 1997. Will not operate on some 1998 or later vehicles with 40 - 250 Ohm sender
* 73 Ohm Empty / 8-12 Ohm Full - For most Ford vehicles before 1989 (except 1987 & later Mustangs) and most Chrysler vehicles

* 240 Ohm Empty / 33 Ohm Full - For use with Auto Meter Sender Model AM3262 (generic sender ratio)

* 0 Ohm Empty / 30 Ohm Full - For most GM vehicles before 1965

* 16 Ohm Empty / 158 Ohm Full - For most 1989 and newer Fords ( EFI mustangs )

more as it happens.

0-90: Early Smith gauges. This might have been the range of the original 427 gauges.
240-33: Most S/W universal gauges. Also works with many later aftermarket Smiths.

Doesn't this look more like "ohm sick" to you?
