Interesting, thanks for posting. I get tired head trying to figure out which oil is best for my car. And that's before reading all the internet opinions.

Most of the engine builders I've spoken with recommend Brad Penn, Joe Gibbs, or Kendall for "our type" of engine.

to lazy to read but recently went to Brad Penn. It is the most tenacious oil i have ever used. It is impossible to wipe off, it's like glue. Just what you want if you don't drive your car often. The most important property of oil selection is what the builder used in the bearing clearances. If you don't have that info you can do an iterative process. If you are a member of SCOF there is an excellent article. I was smart enough to follow but not smart enough to accurately repeat.
