Default Camshaft advice pls.

Does anyone understand these specs?
http://www.cranecams.com/index.php?s...11&lvl=2&prt=5
Is it a mild or wild cam? I don't understand the "max RPM 2,600" Huh?

That cam is milder than mild...

After reading the specs, I think it would make a great cam for an engine that is used only around town, low RPM for long periods of time (Think Taxi-Cab). The Max RPM has to be a mis-print from 5600 RPM. The valve springs are not really strong enough to get it over the 6500 RPM valve float.
This would be strictly an economy cam used to de-tune an otherwise healthy engine.

It would also be great in a generator or other stationary power-plant.

On Cranes web site there is a spec sheet that you can fill out and mail it to them. They will pick and recommend a cam for you. I did it, followed their advice and am very pleased.
