Earl,
Sorry but based on one turn you still have the 2:73 gears. Easy way to count is that for each 100:1 gear ratio the drive line should turn 1 time. Example, with 3:50 gears one turn of the wheel should turn your drive line 3 complete revolutions plus 1/2 of another. I took the wheel off my car when I did it and used chalk to mark the rotor and a spot on top. I also started with the drive line so that one of the U-Joints was flat on top and marked it white so it was easy to count. I knew that I have 3:27 gears so when I did the test my drive line turned 3 and about 1/4 turns.
