I just bought a b&b built in 98. it has a factory 302/330hp. It was running 205 degrees, i put a new 195 thermostat & the temp went to 210. does anybody know what the normal temp should be & would a new aluminum radiator with twin fans help.
How much antifreeze is in the system? It should not be more than a 50/50 mix. We found that 30% antifreeze and 70% distilled water works. Most Cobra are garage kept in the winter and do not need maximum amount of antifreeze. To much antifreeze will cause you car to run hot or overheat.
205 is not that hot but what does the temperature get to when the car idles for 20 minutes?
