Default Front Suspension & Brake Setups

I'm in the process of finalizing the build specs for my S/C 427 project and looking for suggestions on front supsnsion and braking components. I will be running Team III 15" wheels with Goodyear Bluestreak rubber and am trying to decide how to proceed with spindles and brakes. Any recommendations on whether I should proceed with 94/95 S/N 95 front spindles with 11" rotors and dual piston calipers or 87-93 fox spindles with 11" rotors and single piston calipers? I've gathered that the drawback to the S/N 95 option is the added 3/4" offset of the wheel and to accomadate the caliper assembly, thus effecting the ride height adjustments and the visual asthetics mostly. Please offer comments or additional suggestions.

Thanks

Considering your wheel and tire choice, I would assume this is a street car.

For a strictly street driven car, I would use fox parts. Cheap, easy to come by, last forever, and work extremly well on a light car. They also allow you to use a wheel with a slight dish.

If you go with the Fox set-up, you can use Lincoln LSC calipers. They are dual piston and work much better for the same price.

I purchased the EVO 5 kit from D&D Cobra and Don has been super helpful and given me a variety of options and now it is up to me to make a decision. The car is going to be built as a street car that may see the strip once a year so I don't need a radical brake system but I want it when I need it! I like the idea of the fox setup with the Lincoln LCS calipers. Thanks.

I cut off all that mustang 2 BS and built my own, see pics. correct geometry is critical for good handling.

Unfortunatley for me I'm not that talented and need to keep it simple.

I didn't know anything about it until I bought a couple of books on racing geometry.

If I understand correctly, he isn't using a M2 seet-up. He's using a Fox based platform.

Use the SN95.

If you decide to go with the SN 95 set up I have some brand new powder coated adapters and upper control arms. I ordered another set that I needed for knock off wheels when I decided to go with Trigo pin drives.
