Without any pictures I don't know if this will help but here's a link to an install of Ford 9" disc brakes. http://www.streetrodderweb.com/tech/...kes/index.html

Notice that they mention a replacement lokar cable this may help with what sounds like an issue your having with getting the cable connected to the "e-brake". Also, note that e-brake is an older term and you may want to try "parking brake" if your searching for install info on the web.
