Attachment Test. Failed when I tried it in a regular post.

Still won't upload and it is only 31KB. Just says Attachment not uploaded.

Sorry - you flunked the test. Get off the testing area and back to work.

That often happens when you try and upload an attachment of a picture that you have ALREADY used as an attachment in a different post.

Try changing the size slightly and give it a different name.... changing the name only will not get around this error.

Testing to see if I can link to a PPS file.

Ok that worked.

Warren,

That is not the Attachment Feature that I am referring to. You just linked that picture from the gallery.

Ron: This is the first time I have been back here since I tried the Attachment and I never saw your post. Thanks for the information and the one I was trying back then was one that is in one of the locked threads that I can't delete. I have been trying to keep my attachments and gallery pictures to a low level and I deleted a lot of old attachments. Thanks for the information.

Post time test. Mine is off since they have changed the time they set the darn clocks ahead and I don't know which time zone to use.

Ha, first guess. I had to change from Pacific Time to Mountain Time U.S.and Canada.

Attachment test of 34KB Jpeg file. 5-20-09.

This is the message that I get on any attempt to attach any picture.

Upload of file failed.

Interesting... I can upload a .gif file, but not a .jpg.

Very strange...we'll look into it

Ron61 05-20-2009 06:38 AM

Thanks Ron. I hadn't tried a Gif file. I thought that maybe some of the old attachments that I had to leave in because they were in locked threads may be affecting my ability to upload an attachment. I deleted almost all of the old attachments to see if that helped but it didn't.

Ron :)

I tried some of mine and got upload failure as well.

testing....Made a change to the database and seems to be working.

computerworks 05-20-2009 09:10 AM

..still fails for me with JPGs

Ron61 05-20-2009 01:18 PM

Trying my JPG:

Teddy 2-19-07.jpg:
Upload of file failed.

Same results. File is just 35 KB.

While we are on this is is possible to have one of you delete the old attachments that I can't because they were in threads that got locked down and are long gone. I would like to have the space they take up, and the threads no longer exist except maybe in the archives.

Thanks,

Ron

Just checking to see if it is working this morning. Nope!

AG00021_.GIF:
Upload of file failed. 15Kb file size.

I can't seem to attach any kind of file. It must be something in my CP, but I don't see anything that is wrong. But I see other posts with attachments in them. Also CW can attach GIF files and I can't.

Ron

Let me try it ...

This is a picture of something....:)

Ron61 05-21-2009 08:34 AM

Clois,

Your's worked great. I haven't been able to attach anything since Brent put the limit on the amount of space you have for attachments and I was over it. So I started deleating a lot of mine that had been in there for years to make room and when I hit those that I couldn't delete, I left them in. Then when I got all of the old ones out that I could I can't attach any kind of file.

Ron

Ron61 05-22-2009 03:18 AM

Ok another try.

Ron61 05-22-2009 03:26 AM

Another try as I had three failures in the first one. This picture failed the first two tries and then attached on the 3rd try.

Ok Brent, I can get it to attach a JPG picture about one time out of three or four attempts but it won't attach a GIF file of any size.

Ron

Brent Mills 05-22-2009 08:27 AM

Still trying to figure tis out....Haven't given up.

Ron61 05-22-2009 08:39 AM

No problem. I appreciate the help and now I know for sure it isn't anything that I am doing wrong. It does seem strange that some people have no problems with any type file and CW had trouble with JPGs but none with GIFs, and I can't post a GIF of any kind and the JPGs will work about once out of four tries now.

Ron :)

Ron61 05-24-2009 06:16 AM

Just checking to see if I can attach a GIF this morning.

Nope, and the JPG also fails to load. Tried 4 times and decided it just wasn't going to take either of them.

Ron
