Default Blinker switch?

Just wanted an idea of what most have. Do you use a column mount or dash mount toggle switch for the blinkers?

Column with self-cancelling. Its not for the purist, but it is safe and reliable.

Column with self cancelling. I have the horn hooked up to the H/L beam switch on the lever and incorporate a latching push button switch in the dash left of the column. In this town I use the horn more than the high beam. Colin

I used this unit - http://www.signaldynamics.com/products/Modules/turn.asp - then bought a momentary on-off-on switch for turn signals and a momentary push button for e-flashers. Works great and keeps an "authentic" look to the dash with the switch and costs a bit less than the column mounts. Trust me, you will want the self canceling feature. Can't tell you how many miles I've driven with my blinker on.

I always laugh at the people driving down the highway with their blinker on...lol...then I realize thats why that last guy that passed me was laughing...lol. I just havent found a cloumn with a blinker switch that I like. I want to run the column mount self canceling so I need to keep looking for the right column.

Thanks again guys

Gene

Take a look at the column and blinker assembly Shell Valley sells. It is under the accessories section on their site. Also a lot of different colums are available from the Street Rod Boys parts sources like Parr and Speedway. That unit that Purple Venom covered in his post is pretty trick. Personally I kept it for future reference. All for now. Colin
