Guys I noticed quite a few of you were running Everett Morrison kits and i was wondering how they have treated you. I was leaning heavily towards the FFR, but was impressed by the E-M web page, and loved their pay as you need it program. Do me a favor shoot me your opinions. I'm planning on attending your meeting next Saturday. I can't wait to see everybody's cars.
The guys at EM are the best! From time to time they can be a little slow on delivery of small custom made items but I was able to complete my car with little to no delays caused by them.
Bob is the best person to deal with over there in my opinion.
The kit was simple to put together. The manual is all but useless but the plus side is it goes together so easily you really don't need the manual. The told me they were going to update the manual but I doubt it.
I used the corvette suspension and the thing rides great. If you come out next Saturday you can take a look. I live near Sugarland so if you are out that way, I would be happy to show you the car.
I haven't started yet, but I'm planning on going with EM. I visited their factory in Tampa and was very impressed. They also offer a lot of custom stuff that they don't have listed in their "catalog", such as a stretched wheelbase version, a center console on the dash, and air conditioning.
I've got an E-m with a sbc 383 stoker with EFI. I used a '92 corvette suspension and put coilover front and rear. The brakes were not to my liking so I upgraded them with cross drilled rotors and Performance Friction Z-rated carbon metalic pads.
E-M was easy to build even though it took a while to get some replacement parts that were missing from the pallet.
Car rides great, has super performance characteristics. I get nothing but compliments from all who see it.
