Thumbs up Austin Cobras

The Austin Cobras are on the increase!

Steve Lougheed's Excaliber and Gerhardt Gast's FFR are the latest cobras attending the monthly meetings. Next month we are expecting to see David Osmar's SMC and Stretch Williams SPF cobras cruising the Austin streets with the rest of the Cobra members. Greg Herdlitchka's RUCC will be arriving soon and an engine install party is forthcoming.

Unhappy 0-3fer Party!

First let me thank everyone for coming to the LAbor Day weekend welcome home party.

Just one problem. Ren Mans, Charmers and my car didn't show up for the welcome home part.

No matter we had a great time and had four cobras at the house so it was worth the time and effort.

BTW the wife got her a snake bite on Kyles car. the car is fine...oops I mean the wife is fine. (Not as bad a Jackies)

We will be having a build party real soon so take keep your eyes open to the threads.

Default Sorry I missed

Gregg,

Sorry I missed the bash. Couldn't foresee Gina coming down with a cold.

Maybe next weekend we'll all have the cars ready. I still have pleanty of Homebrew and "Big Willy's Salsa" to share.

Gregg,

Thanks so much for letting us trash your house! Seriously, hope it wasn't too bad. It was great seeing everyone and my compliments to the chef - food was GREAT!

I can't wait for the next monthly meeting. Barry Busbee will post the details but for those of you that don't know, I think our next monthly meeting is going to be at Richard's 4 million dollar home. He's got a circular driveway that will fit all of our cobras, plus some. He's also offered to let us use his beautiful swimming pool.

You out-of-towners should try and make this one!

Default Sorry I missed it!

Sounds like a good time was had by all attending - I was in Houston for the baptism of my 5 month old son Sam.

However, keep us updated for that build party - it's been too long since I've smelled that intoxicating coctail of lacquer thinner, carb cleaner and 30wt! I'd never have put a new motor in mine without help, so as long as the boys aren't too much for Mom, I'm ready to lend a hand.

Which reminds me - Neil, how's your 302 situation coming? This Dad thing has been taking more time than I thought it would, so I haven't been able to find time to swing by, but would still like to, if you're still at the tear-down stage.

JLW

PS - Gregg - condolences on the passing of your brother.

Greg - is your RUCC a turnkey or a total build? or something in between? I can't remember.

Talking Some assembly required!

D!ck,

I'm getting the stage IV version. Some fuel/brake line plumbing and the wiring. I'll have to prep the body for painting and install the motor/tranny. Not too much work.

Besides I have the TCC members that are always ready to lend a wrench to a fellow cobra nut. (I'll work for beer and pizza. My wife says work first, Pizza and beer latter)

John- sorry you missed out and thanks about my brother!

When I have a build party bring the boy. My son Justin is very good with small children. He had a great time with Tony Mendez's 2 year old boy Wyatt.

John could you email me at home: gherdlitchka@austin.rr.com I have a couple of questions concerning Rob McMullens engine.

Thanks all,

Gregg H
