March Monthly Meet
MadMiles is out of hibernating so I'll jump out there-
You may or may not have noticed, but DFW has become a national battleground in the burger wars. There are at least 4 new chains entering the market in the first half of 2011. Maybe we try one of those?
Smashburger at 4980 Belt Line Road, Suite 140, Addison, TX 75254 (just west of Tollway)
Five Guys and Fries at 8240 Preston Rd, Plano, Texas 75024 (just south of 121)
I stayed in the Plano/N Dallas area due to proximity to Cars & Coffee for those that want to attend, but we don't have to.
I haven't been to either of these places, nor know their parking situation, so chime in.
Looking forward to seeing yall!

Hi Miles
Hey Miles,
My wife and I are taking our daughter in for her final Chemotherapy treatment today, and if she is up to it I think I will bring them both to the lunch. Lyndsie did take mt to Smash Burger for my birthday and it was good, but I am always up for anything.
With three of us, I will be in my truck... a little tough for a Cobra.
John R.

I'm in
Howdy - I'm in whenever the location is determined. This will be my first time since registering my car. Looking forward to it. There may be another Cobra from Flower Mound if his schedule will allow.

Miles, which one has parking for up to 20 cars and can seat 25-30 if necessary? That would be worth knowing. Then you decide!
I plan to attend ...

I've been to Five Guys...food is good but parking would be very tight as it's in a strip of other resturants/stores facing Preston. Haven't seen or been to the other one but if John R has been there and liked it that's good enough for me!
The other place that was pretty good up in that area was the Brick House at Park and Preston and parking was pretty good....
Took mine for inspection this afternoon but still need to register it.

Checked with Smashburger - Parking should be fine. Let's do it.
They're under Pete's Dueling Piano bar at Quorum & Belt Line (SW corner), next to Jimmy John's. There's a large lot next to them so parking will be good.
If we give time for the C&C crowd to join us, then say, meet at 10:45ish and eat at 11:15ish?
How many can make it out?

Hey guys, I'll be at Cars & Coffee, just not sure I can make lunch. I'm meeting a guy with an original 1969 Boss 429 at the Starbucks off W. Parker Road (south east corner) around 7:00ish am. Will leave there around 7:25 or 7:30. Just want to get a good spot at C & C.

it is going to be cold today.... so mine is not working again... so when I finish my bathroom remodel I am planning to start pulling apart the car. Might even repaint it as there are too many gray and silver cobras Maybe I should go orange and there will only be two in the state
Hope to make it to a meeting soon. Andrew asked me a few months ago (December) why we don't go to cobra club meetings anymore.
wedgerton, where in FM are you? I am not sure if we have met yet... I am at forest vista and garden ridge.

I'm afraid that I'm with Chris. I guess I've gotten to be a Texas wienie, I'm originally from Iowa, and it's to cold to go out without a top on it. Maybe Chris and I are Flower Mound wienies
Looking forward to the next get together though. Chris I live just west of Bridlewood Blvd off of 1171 in Saddle Oaks, which is just behind the Pumpkin Patch. I've only gone to two of the get togthers on 1st Sat but without car then looking for ideas.
