Default Any Shops that do on car tire balance in Dallas

I know steering wheel vibration has been beaten to death in other forums (particularly the Superperformance forum) but I am having that problem on a BDR. I have Cooper Cobra tires that have about 3000 miles on them and had these Road force balanced after I purchased them. There was just a little vibration but nothing that bothersome. It has gotten progresively worse at speeds between 60-70mph.

To eliminate this problem I want to try a good shop in Dallas that does on car tire balancing. That seems to be the ultimate fix. Any suggestions for shops? Thanks.

Call Fifth Gear Motorsports (972-317-4005) Auto Repair Lewisville - Flower Mound - Highland Village - Dallas - Fort Worth Fifth Gear Automotive | Home

They do all of my alignments (vintage, family, modern, special spec,...) and should know someone that does this.

Best,
Paul

Hunter GSP9700 Wheel vibration Control System solves wheel vibration and tire pull problems that balancers and aligners can't fix

Use the locator on this site and you'll find numerous shops that can do it.
I used Nine-Eleven on Cindy Ln. in Dallas.

Anyone have any experience with glass beads for balancing tires? There are a few suppliers and a lot of positive testimonials. I have not tried them so just a suggestion for consideration, not an endorsement. Here's a Youtube video that demonstrates the concept.

DynaBeads demo video - YouTube

Back in the 1980's needed to have the wheels spin balanced with the bias ply tires for my 71 classic f250 4x4. Then upgrade to the newer radials. Aw they did ride nicer but still had some but with a camper on the truck did not get much over 55 mph as it was driven only at vacation time. Fast forward 20 yrs later. I found a bent hub after doing a brake job. Come to find out this was one thing casing my balance problems. I still had some shaking while the it was in 4wd. So while rebuilding the whole front axle, I also found one axle was bend. It was the same side as the bend hub. Replaced it and that fixed the shaking while in 4wd. This was when, I also had the glass beads in the tires at that time. It was all good now, no more speed shaking at any speeds.. Okay Now for the bad. I've had to use this stuff a few times. The old can of fix a flat stuff . So it came to mind that whoa. That, I could not use any of that stuff as that would really make it one of the damn-est messes inside a tire and sure the tire would need replacing from those beads throwing it off balance as they may stick all together in the wrong place.
The other Bad is I've had some beads stick inside the valve core hold it open and not stopping the air from coming back out once removing air hose chuck.
Your suppose to only put air in while the valve stem is at 6'clock to keep this from happening. But it still did so 2 months ago had all the beads remover and rebalanced these are 33" big tires while no beads and very little to a;most no shaking. I think the tire shop could have maybe dune better as they were busy but it's good enough. I will not go back to using the beads though to much of a pain for me. There Great for large truck tires..

speaking recently to a Hunter rep about road force balancing he spoke of the tires are sometimes the issue, not within specs... run out ect... customer installed new tires different brands after many balancing jobs both road force and highspeed spin. vibration went away. I have always had good luck with Cooper tires, just some thought how old are the tires ?
